3. Legal Basis

The following provides an overview of the legal bases of the GDPR on which we process personal data:

  • Contract performance and pre-contractual inquiries (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) – Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, or for pre-contractual measures.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) – Processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or a third party.

4. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with legal requirements, taking into account the state of the art, implementation costs, and the nature, scope, circumstances, and purposes of processing, as well as the varying likelihood and severity of threats, to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk.

These measures include, in particular, safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data by controlling physical and electronic access to data, as well as the use of SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission.

5. Contact

When contacting us (e.g. via contact form or email), the information provided by the inquiring person is processed insofar as it is necessary to respond to the contact inquiry and any requested measures.

Responding to contact inquiries in the context of contractual or pre-contractual relationships is carried out to fulfill our contractual obligations or to respond to (pre-)contractual inquiries, and otherwise on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to inquiries.

6. Provision of Online Services and Web Hosting

To provide our online services securely and efficiently, we use the services of web hosting providers from whose servers the online services can be accessed.

Collection of Access Data and Log Files

We (or our web hosting provider) collect data on every access to the server (so-called server log files). Server log files may include the address and name of the accessed web pages and files, date and time of access, volume of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL, and the requesting provider.

Server log files are stored for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted or anonymized. Data storage is carried out for security purposes and is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party.

7. Data Deletion

The data processed by us is deleted in accordance with legal requirements as soon as the consents permitted for processing are revoked or other permissions cease to apply. If data is not deleted because it is required for other legally permissible purposes, its processing is restricted to those purposes.

8. Rights of Data Subjects

As a data subject, you are entitled to various rights under the GDPR, arising in particular from Articles 15 to 21 GDPR:

  • Right to object: You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Right to withdraw consent: You have the right to withdraw any consent given at any time.
  • Right of access: You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether data concerning you is being processed and to access such data.
  • Right to rectification: You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate data and the completion of incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: You have the right to request the deletion of your data.
  • Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request the restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability: You have the right to receive data that we process based on your consent or for contract performance in a transferable format.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
